Founded during the Covid-19 Pandemic, Happy Schools has created a blended curriculum to foster the Whole Child and provide our students with the interpersonal, intellectual, and intrapersonal skills required to thrive in our changing world.

Ari-min

Ari Poyurs (Founder)

Ari is a passionate ‘edutainer’ who loves learning with students of all ages! With a background in education, psychology, counselling, and business, he always brings a diverse perspective into a classroom or training session. He is energetic, bubbly and is always wearing a smile! He loves music, playing Ukulele and drums, nature, soccer and reading!

Our Consultants:

Josh Poyurs

Josh provides us with psychological and behavioural insights. He has a master’s in psychology from the University of Liverpool, experience consulting for a behavioural economics firm and is currently the head of Behavioral Analytics & Innovation for an EdTech company in South Africa.

Natalie Barnett

Natalie provides us with a unique perspective and insight into the current education landscape in South Africa. She is currently completing her masters in Jewish Education, she is an SEL enthusiast and a Lumina and Six Seconds EQ practitioner.

Tova Tocker

Tova consults as our events coordinator and marketing strategist. She is the founder of “together we connect” and “TDM” and has international experience running events and creating marketing strategy. She is passionate about education and is using her expertise to help facilitate change in the education system.

Lauren Heller

Lauren is a qualified foundation phase teacher who is currently completing her master’s in education. She specialises in educational technology and has a love for art and psychology. She is in the process of illustrating her first children’s picture book and she is working on research to build automated tools to assist teachers in improving learner’s reading abilities.

Ari Poyurs (Founder)

Ari is a passionate 'edutainer' who loves learning with students of all ages! With a background in education, psychology, counseling and business, he always brings a diverse perspective into a classroom or a training session. Lauren

Hi there! My name is Lauren. I have passion for education, psychology and technology. I'm a qualified foundation phase teacher, with my honours in education (specialising in psychology) and by the end of 2021, I will have my masters in education (specialising in educational technology). I’m also in the process of writing and illustrating my first children's picture book as well as working on research building on automated tools to assist teachers in improving learners’ reading abilities. I am always keen to chat to anyone who is interested in improving the ways we educate our learners!
